Just purchased a 2004-GMC-Sierra-2500HD-8100-4X4-Crew Cab-Short Box. I am
looking to improve my gas mileage, 8.4 miles to the gallon as we speak. Just
turned 500 miles, so I realize that it still needs to be broken in. I
installed a K&N filter but need some other idea's to improve mileage. Was
thinking of Flowmaster dual exhaust (Not True Dual exhaust), or possibly a
Superchip computer as long as that won't void my warranty. Anyone else have
any idea's, would love to hear them!

Thanks

Brian

Spring for underdrive pulleys. As far as I know they don't affect warranty
(neither does the chip) and they are a pretty cheap way to raise both HP and
MPG at same time.If you're going to mess with the exhaust it would be
senseless to go with dual flowmasters and keep the "Y" pipe. You're still
trying to force all of the exhaust through one pipe, less resistance= better
mileage and top end HP. More resistance= better torque, low end HP.
