Hello,
99 Accord with 138,000 miles on it. The car starts up fine but a couple of weeks ago it suddenly died while driving. Didn't make any noise. The check engine and check oil flashed (then went away) and the car just died. Waited for a while, started the car again and it ran fine.
This past weekend I was away on a vacation. Went to drive the car and it didn't start. No noise, no lights, just nothing. Jump started the car but then it immediately died again. Had triple AAA come to tow the car and the driver said the alternator was fine but that I had a bad battery.
76 auto care techinican said that the problem was a defective battery and negative battery terminal. Replaced those. Starter and alternator was tested and he said both of those were fine. Then as I was driving home the same thing happened, the dashboard lights flashed and the engine just died. Turned off the ignition and started the car again.
What's the problem?
