That is usually about the speed where the tires go from being compressed
on the road to getting rounder from centripetal force. If there is any
defect in the tire, that is the point where it usually shows up.
By moving the bad tire to the back, you got some more life out of it
before it became bad back there too. Now up front again, it is really
telling you it's dead.
If it was just a matter of throwing a weight or a bent rim, then
balancing would have fixed it and it wouldn't be getting worse.
I'll bet if you jack up each front corner and spin the tire, you will
see one with a high spot.
