Grand Am Help - Does anyone know anything about the security light on a 1999 Grand Am? At times it will come on and it will not start until you wait ten minutes before it will start. I had the control module replaced a year ago. (over $500.00) Does anyone know how to..

94 Grand Am: Antifreeze in oil - The other day, as I was doing a routine oil check on my son's 94 Grand Am, 3.1 V6 (which was recently featured here for a different problem), I found that the oil was way over the max mark -- probably about a quart over. And that it was no longer just.

I have a 97 Grand Am with a 3.1 Litre engine while driving the ETS light
goes on and the ABS light goes on and won't go off until the car is
restarted. When reading the codes no codes appear. The front and rear brakes
had been done about 7000Km ago and feel like the have to be done again.
Any suggestion on what it could be turning on the lights

Thanks Mike

A standard OBDII code reader will not retrieve ABS codes.

There are several on the market, usually rather expensive. I would suggest
going to a good parts store (Napa, or the like) and checking there prices.
