93 DeVille AC SMELLS AT START UP

I get a whiff or two of an acrid smell, almost like vinegar, when AC comes
on automatically.

The AC seems normal, runs strong and cold over the past month I have owned
the car.

Should I worry?

Also, the engine idles very fast most of the time in this 100+ degree
weather. Is that normal?

Make sure your drain on the firewall is free of trash.It maybe stopped up and holding moister back from draining.
