previous owner had mechanic replace brain box and fault lite still
indicated not working. this mechanic was shade tree. been told brakes have
to be bled and only dealer can perform bleeding on anti lock system. this
not 4wd. has v6 with autotran. any way to do without paying $200 to
dealer?

FIRST thing you need to do is pull the codes off the ABS ECM and find out
what's really going on!

Bleeding ABS brakes is a real PITA though, as you have to run the pump while
doing it to purge the air out of the passages. $200?! Around here they
charge $50-60cdn at the dealership!

Go to any compitent mechanic with a code reader that will do ABS codes.

Find the issues. If the system needs bleed a compitent brake tech
should be able to handle this.

1995 Astro - PCM Fuses Blown - Good day, I have a 1995 Astro which quit for no apparent reason. I found the PCM fuse blown, replaced it and it starts and runs good. Idles for a few minutes, fuse pops again and thats the end of it... Looking at the diagram it could be a few things.....
