Archived from groups: alt>trucks>ford (more info?)

I recently picked up a 89 F150 reg cab and I need to replace the bench seat.
It needs the cover, some foam, and springs.

What bench seats from other years will mount? I don't care if the seat backs
recline or not as there is no room in the cab for them to, however, they
will need to fold forward.

Thanks,
Ted S

When I bought my F150 (back in 1989) I had the salesman get me two
bucket seats (intended for a sedan) which I fitted myself (not very
difficult) and I sold off the bench seats to someone who wanted them.
My F150 is still going strong.

What I am saying is that, if I could fit two foreign bucket seats, and
if you are determined to stay with bench, then your options are wide
open.

But why anyone would fit bench seats when they can choose bucket I
cannot imagine. Go bucket!
