i'm looking for a speedometer assembly for my 85 jetta diesel. i can'
t seem to find one anywhere. does anyone out there know where i can
get one? i'm also looking for an a/c bypass pulley. any help with
this would be much appreciated.

What is so different with the "speedometer" of the gas models? Or do you need everything......like the entire cluster? Odometer problem huh? You can probably find the gear. Maybe even a metal one too. Here is one write-up here http://www.garageprosoftware.com/scirocco/tech_odometer.htm I have found some of those plastic gears with cracks in them, so a new one is required. tough to start 91 turbo diesel jetta - it will start but only after tuning off for about 5 minutes. it will start to chug and then starts. then it will start right away everytime. leave it over night and its back to running the starter for over 4-5 minutes until it catches. what up with this

1991 VW Jetta turbo diesel starting problems cold weather .. - I just wanted to post a good experience (if I can call it that) Last year, my jetta would start on cold days without being plugged in (-15 Celsius was about as cold as it got in Kingston when unplugged).
