Jeff, I'm sort of loving it too. It would be a fun car to own for sure. If
I buy another car though, I would be compounding my car storage problems.
Rats. Too many dreams and not enough room.

In this case, the poor pics and brief description might actually help
the bidding.

I just bid it to 5K, if I won it for that, I'd be doing back flips, but
I can't afford more.

That looks to be a nice car from the limited pics,I never dreamed business
coupes would ever be so sought after.
As Ive said before,I owned for a number of years a 47 Champion B.C.It had
3-sp and OD that worked, but that little Champion engine(even though
completely rebuilt) just didn't, in the words of the late Tom McCahill,"the
guts to pull a nut out of a chipmunks mouth."And the body style, though
weird, is not to practical with only one small seat. You could always reach
right behind the leather curtain to grab a beverage that was in the trunk
though.
I had some pretty wild times with that old car and dearly loved it,mostly
because it was always so reliable for a summer driver.
I sold it locally for 2800 Can when I was trying to raise the money for a
new motorcycle.I don't think it was as nice as this car is,but mechanically
it was all rebuilt by me.A club member owns it now and says he turned down
10k to a rodder.
Remember, those were the pre-E-Bay days, when local sales were the most common
by far.
I know where I can get two 50 Champion bullet noses 4 doors cheap right here
in town, the front clip would have made a great swap on my old 47.

I saw it last night and saw that JP had bid on it "with Snipe set to stun"
so I figured might as well sit back and watch the fireworks. It looks
great in the pictures but too bad the pictures aren't better.

What kind of shape are the 50 sedans in? W-3's or W-5's?, I guess on of
these days the 4 doors will finally catch up since all the coupes and
starlights will be used up for street rods, one thing about a Stude post
war 4 door, is the comments you get on the suicide rear doors.

I can not afford the car at anything near what I suspect it will go for
and don't intend to snipe it, so bid away. <g> ( I just tossed a bid in
so he'll know I'm on his bidder list if the car does not make reserve.)

Well unless someone hits it hard, you may hang in there since there is no
reserve on the item.
