Post subject: 50 Dodge Wayfarer fuel problem

I drive my 50 Dodge at least once a week for at least half an hour, and everything's been working fine. I'd put in a new fuel tank last year along with a new sending unit since the old one was a mass of frozen rust, but yesterday the new one failed -- gas needle went to zero and stayed there. I took it out and the resistance wire coil was rattling around loose inside the housing. I'll order another one, but this one should have lasted longer than this, true?. The only source I've been able to find is Andy Bernbaum, where I got this one. Any suggestions for other sources would be very welcome.
