my father is looking at buying a 2005 ford focus zx4,it has 119,000kms on
the engine and the service has been kept up by the dealer.
i did some research and found that the 2.0l engine is a mazda design used
across many platforms.
i also found that there was some early trouble with plastic from the intake
manifold going into the engine and causing a lot of damage.there does not
seem to be a lot of info on this problem so possibly it is of no concern.
how prevelent is this problem?
when in the model year was there a change to the intake manifold to correct
this?
this car was a very early 2005 model.
also can someone post the timing belt change interval for a canadian model
2.0l engine.
can someone comment on the general reliability of this model?
