Your assumption is incorrect. Chrysler IS selling 2005's to
fleets. We have several hundred fleet 2005 300 that we are
servicing.

The Echo, Prius and the Scion models are manufactured by Toyota,
not Ford. Wink

Well Mike I have the choice between believing you or newspaper reports that
Chrysler has stopped selling 300's to rental fleets so they can catch up
with retail orders. Guess which one I'll believe.

I could not care less whet you choose to believe,
that's your prerogative. Ever hear of the old adage,
believe only half of what you see and little of what
you read in the newspapers. The newspapers said that
2004 was the last year for the Taurus, as well. We in
fact have contracts to service the three models
Ford still builds and sells for 2005 Wink

So what did Ford do? Rebadge a few last 2004 Taurus's as 2005's. Old
trick. Chrylser did it with the 300M too while they got the factory ready
for the all new 300.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

No the 2005's have several upgrades, and lower pricing.
A standard V6 2005 Taurus, nicely equipped, will sell
for around the price of a 4cy Civic or Corolla, 16K.

4cyl Civic/Corolla? I didn't know they come with a V6....

I'd consider buying a new Taurus if they redo the whole interior and
replace it with a BETTER ONE. And if they put a V8 in, offer a 10-year
unlimited mileage warranty and sell it for under 10K, then I might buy
one.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Better re-read that post. Nowhere did it say the competitors
cars had a V6, IF any manufactures offend a vehicle like the one
you described, I'll bet a lot of others would buy it as well.

Wow what an upgrade.... 2 new colors, some plastic wood and option
package. Like I said.... 2004's rebadged as 2005 by the marketing
department to get them out the door.
