I am considering a new Accord to replace my 1991 Accord. Although the new
styling is very different, I otherwise like what I see. Has anyone out
there had any experience with the new Accord? Would you share your
thoughts? Thanks.

I have seen them at the dealership and like the way they look. I advise
you to visit a magazine shop or library. Buy any one of the car magazines
that have reviews of the 2003 Accord. If you live near a library, check
the back issues of the car magazines. My favorites are "Car and Driver"
and "Motor Trend". Make photocopies of any articles related to the 2003
Accord. I advise you to get the EX which means it has all of the great
features.

a recent car match published in a local newspaper compared the 2003
accord, Camry, Mazda 6 and the Altima. Overall the Accord ranked first,
followed very closely by the Camry, theen the 6 and Altima was last.

I've put 400 miles on my 11 day old Accord EX sedan w/automatic. Problem
free (knock on wood) and it's a joy to drive. My last car was an '88
Acura Integra.

Can't comment on the '03, but I have a '91 LX, a '96 LX, and a 2001 EX V-6,
and let me tell you there is a hell of a difference in ride, etc. just
between the '91 and '96. You will love the '03 I'm sure.

My 2001 is at 70k now and the only problem I had was the EGR Port recall
(covered by Honda). Very nice car indeed. My '96 (now my son's) has 135k
and the only thing so far is a muffler replacement besides regular scheduled
items.

I've had my '03 since March and it is a wonderful car. You can read all
about it in the car magazines, and my comments would pretty much match
theirs. One thing I must say is that it's nice to have a car that looks and
feels more expensive than the $18,000 I paid for it.

Hi,
I bought my Accord EX-L(4 cyl) two months back and I am very pleased with
it. I basically compared Accord with altima and Camry.

Here are my comparisons (10=Best in comparison)

Brand Accord Camry Altima Description
Style(exterior looks) 9.5 8.0 10
Style(Interior looks) 10 7.0 9
Handling 10 9.0 8.5 Road
control is better on accord especially when doing the turns as it has
stiffer suspension
Maneuver 10 10 8
Nissan Altima was the worst player here. It is very difficult to park in the
parking lots in single try.
Safety 10 8 9
Accord rated best among the 3.
Ride quality 9.5 10 9.5
Accord has stiffer suspension as a result you can almost feel all the bumps
in the road. If you like the luxury ride then I think Camry is the way to go
Fuel Economy 10 10 8.0
Features for the money 10 8 9.0

Finally I choose the Accord!

May be you see too many 10 on Accord because I have one!. Just my
observations

HTH

It has enough power and all the requird featurs i wanted. Good safety
rating in its class. Nice interior.

I pre-ordered my 03 EX V6 from dealer, picked it up in Oct 02 and have not
had any problems. More of a luxury type car now than the past Accords. I
love it!!! If you get one, you will be sure to get compliments and *smiling*
stares.

My husband's 2003 EX-L V6 is 40 days old. He gets prickly every time I
say I want to drive it. I don't ask much. Men and their toys! Toddler
Property Laws in effect: Mine! We make frequent 2-1/2 hour trips to
family. In the past, I've *always* driven *my* car (it was a 1998
Accord) on the trip. Now HE wants to drive HIS car. "I'm still in the
honeymoon phase." Fine--I'll read a book. Smile Truth be known, I don't
much want him driving my 41-day-old CR-V EX, either. (*^;^*)
