I have a 2003 Accord that has deveoped an obnoxious clicking sound
underneath the rear deck area to the right of the rear speaker. It appears
to be emanating from the area where some panels overlap. The sound occurs
sometimes when hitting the slightest bump especially if the car turning to
the right. Hard bumps don't usually cause it, but tapping the brakes fairly
hard does. I figure it is from uneven stress within those overlapping
panels.
Any one else have this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it? >> Stay informed about: 2003 Accord Noise |

I had a similar noise last week. Fixed it by fishing out the small tree
branch that got stuck in the undercarriage. You might want to make a visual
inspection to see if there is anything obvious.
Dave - 03 Accord, no squeaks, rattles, etc after 6000 miles, especially

The noise is definitely in the rear deck area near the rear right speaker.

Take it back to the dealership, that's what warranties are for.

I plan to do that; however, I first wanted to see if this was a problem with
other 2003 Accords.

I saw a TSB on this;

Service Bulletin Num : 03018 Date of Bulletin: MAR 04, 2003
Component: STRUCTURE
If you read the summary it relates to the rear shelf.
