Does anyone know how or even where a fuel filter is located on the cougar.
It has started to jerk like it is having trouble getting fuel. I have put
fuel injector fluid in it and I have used dry gas. If anyone can help me
I would appreciate it. Thanks

Fuel starvation - I can't get fuel from the tank on 79 Scout II. Carb so it just has a sock type filter in the tank, pump is on the engine. I know line is clear after the tank and pump is OK because I hung gallon can from door handle, put line between tank and pump..

Q-Jet fuel well plug's fix - A couple of other problems but not common are the carb being bolted to the intake with excessive torque and fuel well plugs leaking. If the carb is overtightened with the four bolts mounting it to the intake the air horn will be bent creating fuel..
