2000 ford windstar, new battery wont start!

i just replaced the battery with a new one, and now only one dome light is on, the cigaret lighter works, the radio work, head lights work, windshield wipers work, but when i turn the key, no dashboard lights, no crank, no engine turning, no sound, no clicking, the horn dont work, emergincy light s dont work. i only replaced an old battery with a new one. can anybody tell me what is going on with this windstar!? i read the owners guide on fuses and relays, could that where my problem lie? please help!
