Post subject: 2000 nissan sentra makes crackling noise when engine revved

i have a 2000 sentra that makes a crackling noise when the car is started or if i rev it up, what can that be, i had the clutch replaced and the o2 sensor and the mass air flow sensor, i am wondering if it is something with the transmission, engine or the alternator
