1999 Window problem

I let my driver side window all the way down and now it won't come back up.
I hear a clicking sound when I hit the button but no window action. It is
about to rain and if this is something I can fix quickly I would love it
if someone has had this problem and can advise me how to get it back up.

I have an 89' cougar with past window problems similar to yours. The door
panel has to come off and most likely, the window has popped out the clips
on the main support that brings the window up/down. You'll know what i mean
once you get in there. I used all kinds of adhesives but hd CA clue works
best inside the support clips.Or the other common thing that goes is the
motors drive gear. Go to junkyard for that one.

it's the switch, had the same problem on my 99. new one is like $57
