I've got 1995 NF Fairlane and drivers electric window has failed.
Went "clunk" when winding up.
Motor still seems to drive but no window movement. Widow dropped down.
I've now taped it in position till repair.

What do you think "Broke"?
How much for repair?
Is it a job for me (handyman) or Ford or .... is there a specialist for
these type of things (auto elect or auto trim?).
Any advice welcomed.

I live in Melbourne.

Kind Regards, MARTIN

very very common

the electric window regulator is sold as once piece only, its the plastic
centre that breaks and lets the cable go, this $2 piece of plastic would fix
them, but isn't available. the regulator retails for $230, you can change it
yourself if your reasonably competent, half of it is riveted in, you will
need to drill these out and use suitably small nuts and bolts..

pay the $60 and get the stealership to do it, its actually worth it.
