I have a 1990 Olds cutlass Supreme not burning gas.

It's had the fuel pump replaced 5 or 6 times in the past year.

It has new plugs,new plug wires.
New TPS

Why will it not burn the gas and go ?

Did you check the condition of the fuel injectors? They might be sticking
and not functioning properly. You might also want to check the fuel
pressure regulator and also add something like fuel injector cleaner to
clean the injectors and foreign material from the fuel lines. Also check
the fuel filter.

It has a new fuel filter.
I have not checked the fuel pressure regulator.
It has been in the shop a lot.

The first time the fuel pump went out.
It acted like it was starving for gas.

Now it will start and Idle.(If you don't give it gas)
If you give it gas it will not start.
When you try to go and give it gas it acts like you cut OFF the gas.
BUT, it has a srong oder of gas.

Since it starts I assume the new plugs are firing.

when I take it to the shop they want money to test everything then
what ever they fix lasts a short time then RIGHT Back
to give it gas and stalling.

Now its so bad you can't drive it.

has anyone had this prolem?
